Candidates for covered offices receive the same invitation, instructions, deadline, and core questions as others seeking the same office.

2. Responses come directly from candidates
Candidates submit their answers through a private questionnaire using an individual access code.

3. Responses are verified
Contact information is used to confirm submissions before responses are published.

4. Answers are published in candidates’ own words
Responses may receive formatting corrections for readability, but their meaning is not changed.

5. Voters can compare by office
The Candidate Guide organizes responses by office so residents can review candidates addressing the same questions.

6. Participation is voluntary
A candidate’s decision to participate or not participate is shown without rating, scoring, or endorsement.
